I’m planning to take a vacation this summer and decided to visit Prague. Choosing the place was a bit hard. I have a long list of places that I want to visit and explore and Prague was not even on the list. But when I saw it in a movie, I fell in love with the place and decided that I need to see it this summer. After buying the tickets and choosing a hotel from a list of Prague Hotels, Prague here I come.

I’m sure that this vacation is going to be memorable, just like my New Zealand vacation last year and Indonesia vacation two years ago. I have a wonderful view in my Auckland hotel room, as well as with my Indonesia hotel and the one that I booked in Prague says that it also have a wonderful view. The view in my hotel room makes me feel that I’m really in a vacation even before I sleep.

Investing On Your Health

I remember last year when I had an operation. It was rather a very unexpected thing and I was not prepared for it at all. Not financially, not emotionally. I did not have any money in my pocket nor money in my bank account. I had to borrow money from the office. Good thing my bosses are really nice, if not, then I wonder what could have happened to me. After that incident, I have learned my lesson. I have started investing on my health insurance. Some may think that getting a health insurance is just a waste of money, but you won’t know it’s value until you begin to need one.

A health insurance is probably one insurance that you would not want to have use for. It is rather wise to invest on it but it is an investment you don’t want to use. It is good to have one so you are prepared for any unpredicted health problems. Yet, it is best not to be able to use it because it means you are healthy. Well, some health insurance have the annual general check-up as part of the package which is something you should opt to use. Knowing the status of your health is always important. Yet, as we all know, prevention is always better than cure. Nothing beats a healthy diet and having enough exercise.

Letters

I can still remember those days when the mobile phones and emails have not been as common as it is now. Those days when we wait for the postman to arrive or run to our mailbox every morning to see if the mails arrived. I often do that. I run to the mailbox in front of our house each morning waiting for my friends’ letters. I also felt the disappointment when I see an empty mailbox. I smile when I see the postman drop by and bring my letters.

I still have the letters, I kept them in a box. A box full of memories. It still feel great to receive handwritten letters or custom made greeting cards from our loved ones. I still check my mailboxes. Both my commercial mailbox in the office or the mailbox in the house. I still feel the excitement of opening it and seeing mails from my closest friend or my parents who still prefer writing letters over emails.

Shopping Again

My schedule had been quite stressful these past few days. I had to do a lot of things in the office and do quite a number of errands. I finally have some free time now and definitely need some retail therapy to compensate for all the stress I have gone through. As a girl, I am a big fan of shoes and bags. I love having handbags in different styles and colors and shoes that match, of course. So, where do I start? The internet is definitely a good source of finding out what’s hot and what’s in in the fashion world. Need to know the latest Marc Jacobs designs or what’s new with Bergdorf Goodman? It also helps to visit sites like Stylehive where our fellow retail therapy, shopping or fashionistas gather.

I really love shopping. I can’t wait to receive my order of Kathy van Zeeland handbag and the Marc Jacobs Distinguished Dot Tote. It’s kinda hard to choose between all the new styles from Nine West. From handbags to clutches to overnight bags…. what else is missing?

I Love Shoes

I love shoes. Well, I really love shopping for clothes, bags and shoes that match. There are times when I do not really care about the prices, as long as I like them I just had to close my eyes when I swipe my credit card. The wrong shoes can definitely ruin an outfit. Imagine, wearing a really sexy dress and loafers. You will surely lose a lot of points there. Your shoes and your clothes has to match specially on special occasions. There are shoes that does not match certain outfit. You cannot wear dresses with rubber shoes, same thing that you cannot wear really loose pants with stiletto heels.

Shoes should not only match the clothes, but should also match the activity you will get into. Wearing shoes that are specifically designed for a certain activity will help you prevent foot aches afterwards. Wearing hiking shoes in a golf course is definitely not a good idea. Wearing hiking shoes when playing tennis may not be so comfortable. Wearing boots on a cold evening will help keep your feet warm.

Shoes is not only a part of your fashion statement, it also serves the purpose of protecting your feet and keeping it comfortable. For me, it is very important to have different types of shoes to wear in every type of occasion. Stilettos, wedges, rubber shoes, sandals or flip flops are definitely must haves. I also search the internet for new trends and ShopWiki has definitely been helpful.

Custom Shirts

I just received a gift from a friend: a shirt with the print “I’m busy being Single!!!!”. What a thing to write on a shirt, but I guess that reflects my current status. I am having fun being single and don’t want any attachments to deter that. Anyway, aside from the fact that the shirt is really cool, I got to thinking what could be cooler than having your own custom designed shirt. You can put whatever you want, design it the way you want and wear it whenever you feel like it.

Custom shirts are definitely great to have. You can express yourself in whatever way you want it. You can say how you feel in graphics or in text. Custom t-shirts can also be great gifts to your friends or loved ones. You can be as cheesy as you want by making a shirt with you and your loved ones picture together at the center of a heart or you can try to be cool by just making a graphic design for her/him (I must say, being cheesy is a lot easier).

Having custom designed shirts can be one good way of expressing yourself. It can serve as your outlet in expressing your frustration, anger, sadness, happiness or love. It can also help you get your message across. No matter what you want to say, just be responsible - remember, whatever you put there will also be seen by other people when you wear it and it will surely reflect on you. Best way to use it is to promote yourself. For companies, it can also be used as a marketing or promotional tool. Putting your company logo and the slogan or some promotional text will be one way of promoting your business.

Summer is Coming

It is already May and summer is near. I can already hear the waves and the sea breeze. I can almost feel the sun on my face as I lie on the shore. I feel the excitement as I ride the jet ski and race with the waves. Summer is definitely my favorite season. I love going on a holiday during summer, and I always look for Cheap Holidays or Bargain Holidays. I like the hassle free All Inclusive Holidays that some tour companies offer. Holidays when all that’s left for you to do is have fun.

Summer is also a great time for the families to bond together. Going on a fishing trip with your family or going on a cruise can bring your family members closer together. You can also play beach volleyball or just build sandcastles. There are a lot of things to do during summer than just stay home and watch television. Going to the beach and feeling the sun on my face is definitely my favorite.

Hide from the Sun

It is always great to wake up on a sunny day. To feel the warmth of the sun in your face as the soft breeze plays with your hair when you are on the beach. But when you slept at four in the morning and then you are awakened by too much sunlight that enters your room, it is a different story. When you are giving a presentation using a projector in a room with large windows without blinds, then, that can also be disrupting. Blinds can serve different purposes - one will definitely be to block or minimize the sunlight or any other form of light to enter your room or house.

Another reason for using blinds can be aesthetics and some privacy. Although it is always great to have a French Decor or a French Window that allows you to see the view from inside your house, it is not nice to think that anyone can just look through those doors or windows and see inside your house. Blinds can be a good way of maintaining that experience of being able to see the outside and covering the inside when you want to have your privacy.

Making the blind work for you depends on the type and style of the blind that you choose. There are various types of blinds: You can have the slat blinds which include venetian blinds and miniblinds; or, solid blinds which can be further classified into holland blinds, pleated shade, honeycomb shades or cellular shade, and woven wood shade. Each type of blinds can work well with certain window types, the choice is in your hands.

Family Time

It’s weekend again. Time to relax after a toxic week at work and time to spend with your family. I love the weekends. It is the time when I get to bond with my sister and my parents, talk about how our life had been for the past week, and our plans for the next week or so. It is also our chance to go on trips and picnics. I remember when I was a kid, whenever my sister and I see our mother’s picnic basket we cheer saying”picnic time picnic basket“. We are so excited about going to the park and playing around with other kids and with our parents.

Among my favorite getaway destination is the beach. I just love the a sunset, the salty water, the sand and all the works. I love sitting by the shoreline and dream about how I want my life to be. I love lying on my mom or dad’s lap as we all talk about our hopes.

Weekends are definitely there so you can spend more quality time with your family. You do not really have to do something spectacular to make it special. Just a simple dinner or just watching the television together will surely help nourish a loving relationship.

It’s My Day

Birthdays, weddings, baptismal, graduation are basically among the most important events in anyone’s life. These are days we normally save up and prepare for. We prepare everything from the invitation, catering, decorations, up to the last detail. We want that day to be really special because that is our day or that is my daughter or son’s day. The invitation may seem to be a rather small detail compared to the catering or venue, yet it is one really important thing. The wedding invitation or birthday announcement basically gives your guests the idea on what to expect on the event.

Invitations are the first things that your guests see. Great looking wedding invitations, for instance, will make your guests expect a really grand wedding. It also gives them the idea on the theme of the wedding. Your invitation can somehow influence your guest’s decision on whether coming to your wedding, birthday, graduation or whatever party you are throwing, worthy of their presence. If your wedding invitation, baby shower invitation, birthday announcement, looks tacky, chances are that your guests will also expect a rather tacky party so when they get an invitation somewhere else, they will most likely set your invitation aside.
