Exploring New Grounds

After working for a web development company for a couple of years now, I can say that I already know a bit of this and that in the web business. I am particularly interested in the graphic or visual side of the web. Graphics and other visuals are great methods to attract visitors and communicate your message. A nice image attracts more visitors than a number of great text. The impact of images on your visitors is a lot greater than the impact of the text - though text do matter a lot also. While doing a research about digital media communications, I came across http://www.gibbsny.edu/ - the website of Katharine Gibbs School in New York that offers digital media communications programs.

If I were in New York, I would have studied there and get a more in-depth knowledge in the field of digital media. Getting a digital media certificate or degree is quite  good career move because this  media is becoming quite popular nowadays as a tool for businesses to promote their products or services, creating an image, and perhaps, even marketing. It is also useful in the entertainment industry since using more digital equipment and techniques can help make work easier, faster, more efficient and cost effective.
