Rewards always help in boosting morale and motivation. In school, school awards is one way of boosting the students motivation. Being awarded as the best in spelling, best in math, most improved student, etc is something that helps your students become better people and helps in keeping them on the right track. Same thing applies in the office, rewards or awards is something that keeps your team motivated. In the office setting, you will hear about awards like most punctual employee, employee of the month or model employee, most responsible, and a lot more.
Rewards can come in many forms, it can be in the form of trophies, ribbons, cash incentives, a plaque, or a performance bonus. It is being done to retain good employees, boosting sales or performance, as a retention strategy, or just to keep your students or employees happy.
