Dualism

I may not have the authority on speaking about dualism, yet it is something that bothers me.  I see a lot of people praying in churches, saying that they are devout Catholics yet they go to feng shui experts, display and wear lucky charms.

As Catholics, our commandments say that Thou Shall Not Have Other Gods before me.  We also believe in His great power to do everything.  Our faith also tells us that if we have problems, troubles, unfulfilled dreams and other concerns, we should seek God’s help and in His time, He will give us what our heart desires.  We believe that He will make our dreams come true and even give us things far more than we have asked for and imagined.  Yet, we still wear lucky charms, have those mirrors hanged in our doorway, arranged our houses based on feng-shui.  Isn’t this contrary to what we believe in?

I know that not a lot of people will agree.  But I believe that if we believe in God, in His goodness and His Power, then we don’t need any of those things - just our faith and His mercy.
