Florida or the State of Florida is located in the southeastern region of the United States. Most of the state is a large peninsula with the Atlantic Ocean in the east and the Gulf of Mexico in th west. Florida’s climate is mostly humid subtropical except for the southern part where the climate is tropical. It rarely snows in Florida and it is known as the Sunshine State. Because of its natural beauty and the various leisure activities you can enjoy, Florida has been named by 40% of American adults as the location they would most like to visit according to the 2005 National Leisure Travel Monitor Results.
